Technology Lead

Overview of the role

The Technology Lead will own and drive all projects under Data & AI platforms from a technology standpoint. Our teams - Health and Language- are currently in different stages in their journey to build tech stacks serving their requirements. 

As we scale initiatives to make a wider impact, we are looking for an overall lead who understands the use cases across projects and owns the architecture, engineering and execution of a coherent data platform. 

Key Responsibilities

Conceptualise and lead the development of platforms with end-to-end coherence and usability, considering a diverse set of stakeholders

  • Lead and manage scalable software architectures. Lead the engineer & product work streams across all data platform initiatives spanning health & language. 

  • Work with an open-source ecosystem, and provide leadership within and around the developer ecosystem

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify requirements, analyze, build & document large-scale data centric platforms. 

  • Productionize models. Drive the right build, deployment and management of ML pipelines at scale. 

  • Be a technology evangelist and champion the right solutions across stakeholders and integration partners.

Requirements and skills 

Minimum 10 years of experience as Engineering Lead, Product Lead or alternative relevant position. 

  • Experience in working in an unstructured environment (startups preferred).  Demonstrated ability to handle complex and ambiguous environments, flexibility to work with diverse groups (user research, researchers, clients, etc)

  • Must have strong first principles of architectural thinking in building technologies

  • Experience in managing infrastructural, security and privacy-related projects

  • Experience in building, deploying and managing scaled ML pipelines and ML-Ops. Experience in productionizing ML models would be a plus.

  • Awareness of the fast-evolving GenAI-related tech stack. Hands-on GenAI application-building experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Ability to work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary team. 

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills. 

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Good to have

Experience working in healthcare domain- security compliance- HIPAA, GDPR, PDP

  • Socialize with engineering leaders in the domain, convene talks, discussions and contribute to thought leadership in the area

  • Understanding of hl7, FHIR, and DICOM technology/ standards

  • Experience in ensuring compatibility with recommendations from Govt of India and best industry and academic practices in India and around the world. 

  • Hands-on experience with Cloud migration, Federated data store, Confidential compute
