CALL FOR PROPOSALS: ENGINEERING & DEVELOPMENT
End-to-end platform for clinical & environmental genomic surveillance
The Data Science Innovation Hub at ARTPARK @IISC, is looking for a web engineering & software development services team to build an end-to-end platform for clinical and environmental genomic surveillance. This platform is expected to enable routine environmental and clinical surveillance, monitoring and research.
Broadly, the platform will comprise of:
A mobile application that will be used to collect data on field at several locations
A laboratory platform for various lab users to gather information on the sample, including processing, assays, and analysis.
A web dashboard to view progress across various organisations and locations participating in the project, monitor the status of the sample, from the time the sample enters a lab, all the way through sequencing and analysis.
The platform would need to be:
Open sourced, and leverage open source tools and implementations to the possible extent
Modular and extensible
Self-hostable for any user
Leverages existing national and international data standards and frameworks
The mobile application would need to be used in remote areas, with appropriate controls for data quality
The project would also require detailed public documentation, with clearly outlined steps for reproducibility.
