Overview of the role
About Medical Imaging Datasets for India (MIDAS India)
India has a skewed population-healthcare provider ratio and technologies such as medical image analysis and AI have shown significant promise in bridging the gap. Data science and machine learning-based assessment of medical images has gained attention worldwide to facilitate the detection and quantification of a wide array of clinical conditions. Access to sufficient, high-quality, standardised datasets representative of the Indian population is needed to propel data science and AI-enabled research, innovation, education, commercialisation and adoption.
ARTPARK is working with ICMR, IISc and various medical research institutions and government agencies to bring together gold-standard medical imaging datasets. The initiative goes beyond technology development and will focus on bringing together the datasets in a safe, secure and usable manner. Retrospective data will have to be cleaned, curated, augmented and (re)annotated. Prospective data collection too will have to be designed based on the purpose for which it will be used. Based on the purpose of the data, the processes, standards and formats have to be carefully pre-specified. Availability of representative datasets will also enable measurement and evaluation of AI solutions in healthcare and the technology platform will be augmented to serve as a validation framework.
As a proof of concept, ARTPARK is collaborating with IISc to develop an oral cancer screening app that healthcare technicians and ASHA workers can use to screen for oral cancer. The app will also serve to leverage from and contribute data to the MIDAS platform.
The Product Manager must have experience in end-to-end product management. Experience in developing apps for frontline workers, an understanding of federated architecture, cloud computing, DICOM, FHIR standards, and data platforms is preferred. At ARTPARK you will work in a strong data-driven environment with leading experts from Industry and Research.
Roles & Responsibilities
Drive the platform and platform-planning process across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Analyze user personas, requirements, current market trends and potential partnerships
Assess current platforms, gaps, and learnings and identify opportunities for improvement by leveraging state-of-the-art technologies
Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re successfully achieved
Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments
Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate release and deployment plans
Work with various stakeholders to unlock datasets, analyse and build data pipelines.
Ensure compatibility with recommendations from Govt of India and best industry and academic practices in India and around the world.
Ensure the platform is easy to use for various stakeholders
Ensure the platform is API-rich and modular to enable feature development and deployment in an open-innovation framework
Help build positive relations within the team and external stakeholders and government officials.

Requirements & Skills
5 to 6 years of experience as a Product Manager or relevant position.
Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
Highly effective cross-functional team management
Previous experience delivering finely-tuned product strategies, managing and delivering data science products and platforms, working with sensitive datasets
Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
[Bonus] Previous experience developing solutions for frontline workers
[Bonus] Understanding of hl7, FHIR, DICOM technology/ standards, Cloud migration, Federated data store, Confidential compute
[Bonus] Experience working in healthcare domain- security compliance- HIPAA, GDPR, PDP
